TikTok has blessed us with dozens of challenges and new music trends – but now people are asking who sings Make Me Your Aphrodite?

In the latest trend to do the rounds on the hit app, people are taking part in the Dark Horse Challenge.

As well as being pretty impressive to listen to others showing off their vocal talents it’s a fabulous throwback to one of 2013’s hit pop songs.

Who sings the Make Me Your Aphrodite song?

The lyrics ‘Make Me Your Aphrodite’ appear in her hit Dark Horse. The tune was on her album Prism which was released in 2013.

The video for the song boasted an Egyptian theme and also featured rapper Juicy J.

Katy’s fourth album, Prism featured lots of hits including Roar, This Is How We Do and Legendary Lovers.

What are TikTok users doing for the dark horse challenge?

TikTok fans are showing off their own vocal abilities for the challenge.

Instead of just following Perry’s tune, people are putting their own twist onto the lyrics and adding in some extra notes.

So that the words stand out from Perry’s original version the Dark Horse challenge doesn’t have any music behind it.

And because of this some people have even added a beat to their short clips to sing along too.

Hundreds of clips have been shared online for the challenge, with some pretty impressive entries.

What’s Katy Perry been up to since releasing Dark Horse?

Since releasing her album Prism the singer has gone on to record Witness in 2017 and Smile which was released in August 2020.

And things appear to be going well in her private life as well as the star welcomed her first baby this year.

Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom announced that their little girl Daisy was born on August 27th.

The couple shared the happy news through charity Unicef’s Instagram page and said: “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter”.
