Who is singer Aubrey Burchell? AGT contestant previously auditioned for American Idol Season 16

Written by Andrew Davis — 0 Views

This week’s episode of Season 17 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) will feature singer Aubrey Burchell. It will air on NBC on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET.

The performer will win the judges’ and live audience’s approval with her personality, vocal range, and singing skills. She will be one of the many amazing performers in the real-life competition.

The AGT contestant will tell her judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara her heartwarming story.

In 2018, Aubrey tried out for Season 16 of American Idol and made it to the Top 70. This time, she will make her debut on a new stage with new goals and hopes. If she can win this time, only time will tell.

Level-one autism was found in AGT contestant Aubrey Burchell.
When Aubrey Burchell walked out on stage for AGT, the crowd cheered. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-born singer, who is 21 years old, said she works at Target and sneaks into the bathroom with her phone to sing. The contestant wants to sell out stadiums all over the world and win GRAMMYs.

She also talked about how she has come to terms with the fact that she has level-one autism, which she was just told about recently. She said that she wanted to help people who were going through the same thing as her. The person on AGT said:

“I want to show other young autistic people who are suffering in silence that they can follow their passion, don’t have to fit in a box, and just do what they love.
Then Aubrey sang Call Out My Name by The Weeknd. Both the judges and the audience were moved to tears. She was brave to tell her story, and the judges praised her for it. Sofia called her “the whole package.” The judge from AGT also thought that the contestant could win.

Aubrey was born on January 6, 2001, and she started singing right away. Her dad was a musician, and the two of them used to write little tunes together. The first people to hear the singer was in preschool. Since then, she has played at charity events in her area. Since she was 15, she has also had a vocal coach.

After the AGT contestant made it to the Top 70 on American Idol, she talked to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about her experience and said:

“It’s one of my best things I’ve ever done, and I never thought I’d do it. I’m thankful for the chance, and I think it helped me get ready for what was to come.”

A year after the pandemic hit, in November 2020, Aubrey was singing at places in Western Pennsylvania. After that, it was no longer possible for her to sing live. The singer admitted that it was a hard time for her, and that working long hours at Target without being able to sing was mentally draining.

But the AGT contestant kept her spirits up and kept posting videos of herself singing online and on social media sites. After she lost a close friend in 2021, producers of America’s Got Talent saw one of her videos and asked her to try out for the competition.

When she thought back on her time on AGT, she admitted:

“This feels like the end of the dark tunnel, the music’s comeback. It shows that if you are a local artist, you should get your work out there. I don’t care if you’re singing while sitting on the floor of the bathroom. Put things out there and be seen.”
Aubrey has more than 9K followers on Instagram, where she often posts updates about her gigs, videos of her singing on TikTok, and other news. Fill The Void, Big White Room, Nothing On Me, Love Murder Misery, Memory, and Fate are some of her singles.

This week’s episode will also feature performances by Bay Turner, Camille K., The Nerveless Nocks, Unreal Crew, Mind2Mind, David Snyder, and many more contestants. All four judges will be on the panel to keep the crowd entertained.
