Jack Donald Lewis is an American missing person. He disappeared on the morning of 18 August 1997. As he left his home in Tampa, Florida, the disappeared.

Jack was born on 30 April 1938 in Dade City, Florida, United States. He used to make money through trucking, real estate, and his used car businesses.

He was married first to Gladys Lewis Cross. He had three daughters from Gladys. He adopted a son. He met Carole Murdock in January 1981 on Hillsborough Avenue near 50th street in Tampa on a night when she left her house after her husband Michael Murdock attacked her.

Carole and Lewis started to date each other while they were already married. Jack and Carole divorced their spouses in 1991. Jack and Carole co-founded Wildlife on Easy Street.

Jack and Carole got married in 2004 and she started to use Baskin. Jack started transferring ownership of his properties in Florida in early 1997 to a Costa Rican company he controlled.

He bought a plane ticket to Costa Rica and planned to drive to Miami. According to Carole, Jack’s mental health was deteriorating and he started rummaging in dumpsters and hoarding vehicles and junk.

He was losing his short-term memory. He was developing Alzheimer’s disease. In July 1997, Jaci filed a request against his wife for a restraining order because she threatened to kill him. But the request was rejected.

He told Carole many times that he wanted a divorce but Carole thought that he was not serious about it. Jack got disappeared on 18 August 1997 in the early morning around 6:00 am.

His white 1989 Dodge Ram Van was found on 20 August 1997 at the Pilot COuntry Airport in Spring Hill, Florida.

When he disappeared, at that time, he had several planes and he was known to sometimes fly them even though his private pilot license was suspended. His van’s keys were found on the floorboard.

His van had been parked for a couple of days. Police didn’t find any evidence of the truck. After visiting the Costa Rican town of Bagaces, investigators found that Jack’s two ocelots sipped out but their whereabouts were unknown.

Since his disappearance, his credit cards have not been used. Jack was declared dead in 2002. His wealth of $5 million was handover to his wife and his children.
