Jon Venables was born on 13 August 1982. Jon was just 10 years old when he kidnapped 2-year-old James Bulger from a shopping center in Bootle, Merseyside, England with his friend Robert Thompson.

The duo tortured and killed James Bulger, whose body was found by a railway line.

Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were found at fault for James Bulger’s kidnapping and killing on 24 November 1993, they were making them the youngest people to be jailed for killing in 250 years.

On 12 February 1993, James Bulger is grasped from a shopping center in Bootle, Merseyside, England.

On 14 February 1993, James’s battered body is found by the railway line.

On 18 February 1993, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, then aged 10, are arrested.

24 November 1993, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, now 11, are sentenced to kidnapping and killing and set back indefinitely.

From 1993-2001, Jon is held in the 8-bed Red Bank secure unit in St Helens, Merseyside, England while Robert is held at Barton Moss, outside Manchester.

News later claim Jon had sex with a lady staff at Red Bank, who was summoned for sexual wrongdoing and suspended.

She reportedly never back to work there. It is also claimed Jon was told to tell other locals, he was set back for stealing cars, not for killing.
