What is ‘Party makeup by Nikki’?
Warning! If you scare easily, don’t watch the video.
In the seemingly harmless YouTube video, a cheerful woman named Nikki leads us through her makeup tutorial. So far so good, right?
Two-thirds through the video, the left side of the screen changes to what seems to be CCTV footage of darkness and Nikki’s expression immediately changes as she switches to blankly staring into the camera. At the same time, sinister music cuts in.

A few seconds later, Nikki starts to aggressively hit her head against the table off-screen in front of her, with blood flying everywhere from her progressively more swollen face.
That escalated quickly.
After, she sits in her chair lifeless, one eye twitching, as blood pours down her face.
Is ‘Party makeup by Nikki’ real?
The original video from 2014 was uploaded by user the15experience, who did not clarify legitimacy of the footage. The video description read: “the video was sent to me anonymously. I do not have any information beyond that. It is for you to decide no your own whether it is real or fake.”
Much of the internet believes it is fake, as the outro of the video invites the audience to visit the15experience.com, the website of a movie.
Although the website no longer exists, a YouTube video shows that the site offered viewers a peek into 15 hacked CCTV cameras at a supposedly haunted location.
This discovery debunked the demonic possession theories surrounding the party makeup video, by identifying ‘Nikki’, who turned out to be Haitian-American actress Nakia Secrest.
