Written by John Shaw — 0 Views

The night before it closes for good (after 25 years in business), WaterMark Corners gift shop, 1500 River Drive, Moline, will host its last Friday Night Happy Hour.

This Friday, Feb. 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., owners Amy and Barb Trimble invite the public to help fill the store with joy and celebration for one final time. The festivities will include:

Bobby Ray Bunch will play for the WaterMark Corners happy hour Friday from 4-8 p.m.
  • Live music from Bobby Ray Bunch
  • Munchies and half-price drinks in the Corner Bar (fully stocked with all of their best-selling wines & spirits)
  • And lots of final bargains to discover through the store (merchandise has been slashed to up to 75 percent off)
Amy and Barb Trimble have run WaterMark Corners Gifts & Stationery for 25 years in downtown Moline.

Saturday, Feb. 10 will be the last day in business for WaterMark, run by Amy Trimble and her mother Barb. Amy will become chief operating officer and director of operations for Trimble Pointe Companies (the family business), which includes Trimble Funeral Homes, CityView Celebrations, Veterans Funeral Care and Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

WaterMark Corners recently experienced its most profitable 4th quarter in the business’s 25 years (since opening in fall 1999), but sales numbers have not returned to their pre-COVID level.

Trimble Funeral Home (an 182-year-old company) has seen huge growth over the last 10 years in its new building at Trimble Pointe, which opened in 2014 at 701 12th St., Moline.

Amy Trimble has said the family wants to close the store while they’re still on top. In the store today, all drinks are also 50% off from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the WaterMark website HERE.
