UPDATE: Details released in Interstate 80 fatality near Bettendorf
UPDATE: Details have been released in the fatal crash on Interstate 80 early yesterday morning.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, Mark Muske, age 52 of Davenport, was operating a tow truck and attempting to hook up to a bus that was unoccupied on I-80 at mile marker 302 at about 2:07 a.m. on April 17. Muske was struck and killed by a 2015 Jeep Patriot, according to an investigation by ISP officers. Two other people on the scene were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Muske was taken to Runge Funeral Home.
The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending, according to the crash report.

It happened a little after 2 a.m. on the westbound side of I-80 near mile marker 302
A vehicle was stopped on the shoulder and a tow truck was assisting outside the vehicles.
The tow truck operator was struck by a Jeep Patriot, according to the investigation. No names have been released at this time.
