Hazel lived and worked in Brisbane for many years, during which time she sent her daughter Kalana to live with her grandparents. Detention was a standard form of discipline for Isabel and her group of pals Chloe, Hector, Anton, and Tasha.

Their instructor assigned them a community project that required students to produce a documentary about their experiences at school and to place their hopes and dreams in a container that was universally referred to as the “Time Capsule.”

This was done so that their classes would be more engaging. In 2019, the classroom instructor and the individual students worked together to crack open the box. The other girls in Isabel’s life gave her tribute, and then Kalana took the microphone to read her predictions.

But the prophecies were unsettling, and they pointed in a clear and convincing direction toward the fact that Isabel had been harassed by a person she knew the whole time.

According to the prophesies, there was a creature known as the “Ankou” that used its scythe to slay people. Isabel’s forecasts did, at one point or another, seem to imply that her pals are dishonest. When James enters the picture, the narrative takes on a new perspective for the audience.

He was particularly interested in this case, and despite the fact that there were many missing pieces of evidence, he chose to work on solving it. As soon as he arrived in Ashford, he began working under the direction of Troy Turner, the senior sergeant.

He explained his perspectives on the events, and each piece of information pointed to a blue station wagon with a white door. Before Isabel passed away, it followed her about everywhere she went.

The surveillance footage from the town’s CCTV cameras revealed that the same automobile had been following her on the night that she was murdered. Chloe, Isabel’s best friend, saw the wagon but was unable to determine the license plate number.

Isabel and Chloe walked home together after the Year 12 formal at the school and changed directions near the Riley Street crossroads on the way. In addition to that, she offered guidance to the individual who was there in the blue wagon. The lifeless body of Isabel was discovered outside of the Ashford Cemetery.

Black Snow: Spoilers

When a piece of Isabel’s plaited hair was unexpectedly discovered in the Time Capsule, it provided a new angle on the investigation of the case. James asked Hazel over to interrogate her, and when she was there, she decided to open the box, and inside of it, she saw a t-shirt that had been wrapped around her hair in some way. James made significant progress as a result of this.

The documentary was first recorded by Hector in 1994 using James’s camera, and James later digitized all of the analog versions.

He gave each video a close watch until he discovered something that was consistent throughout all of them. It was fortunate that one of the clips also captured the license plate number of the blue station wagon that had been seen following Isabel around everywhere.

In “Black Snow,” Isabel’s abrupt shift in personality is explained through a sequence of flashbacks that are interspersed throughout each scene.

These flashbacks allow the audience to better comprehend Isabel’s transformation. Before a significant life event, Isabel was an upbeat and courageous young person. However, that all changed when she encountered adversity.

James was interested in learning more about this conduct, so he questioned all of Isabel’s close friends and family members who lived in the same town as him.

James had the misguided belief that Isabel was involved in witchcraft, and for some unknown reason, Hector followed her around Ashford the entire time.

In the meantime, a few of her close friends were under the impression that he was also complicit in Isabel’s death. Anton, Isabel’s ex-boyfriend, and James planned to meet in the factory to question each other, and during this meeting, Anton suffered serious injuries.

In spite of the fact that he was unable to identify the offender, it was abundantly evident that Anton had been the target of a murder attempt. James made another important discovery; the information regarding the blue wagon had not been updated since the year 1994.

The owner of the wagon is a preacher who lives in a more rural part of New South Wales. James hypothesized that Isabel’s father and the owner of the wagon were related to one another in some way.

In the meantime, Hazel was keeping a secret from everyone and had a meeting with an unknown person in order to maintain her lying. Now, James desired to interrogate Hector because the law enforcement agency did not have his records.

Two days after Isabel passed away, he uprooted his life and relocated to Sydney. He also did not remain in the area for her funeral. Now, around the village, crazy stories are spreading like wildfire, alleging that Isabel Baker’s father, Joe Baker, was the person who committed the murder.

Black Snow: What Happened with James?

Detective Sergeant James Cormack is widely regarded as one of the most capable detectives in the city. He gained his experience working with Whang, who was his detective boss.

Strangely, he was interested in the investigation into Isabel’s murder and was drawn to the day she passed away. He has a tattoo on his hand of the same date, which was December 3, 1994.

James was able to persuade his boss to give him the assignment, despite the fact that the case would be challenging to resolve.

After some time had passed, it was discovered that his brother Ritchie had vanished on the same day. He couldn’t count the number of times he’d gone to bed thinking about his brother and looking for him.
