In his new Netflix special Beautiful Dogs, Shane Gillis reveals his girlfriend has moved in with him. However, the identity of his partner remains sketchy at best.

Shane Gillis is a widely popular stand-up comedian, podcaster and comedy writer who perfected his craft on YouTube before striking comedy gold on Netflix. However, the NY-based comedian rose to prominence on a national level in 2019 after being hired by Saturday Night Live, only to get fired several days later. Nevertheless, Gillis’ unfiltered brand of humor has seen him release several specials, including his latest, Beautiful Dogs.

Gillis jokes about his girlfriend and her Navy SEAL ex in new special

With his latest special hitting the streaming service, fans are curious to know more about the comedian’s personal life, including Shane Gillis’ girlfriend and relationship history.

People are interested because Shane has a bit in his new special about his girlfriend’s Navy SEAL ex. A synopsis for his special reads: ‘In a rowdy stand-up set, Shane Gillis riffs on his girlfriend’s Navy SEAL ex, touring George Washington’s house and being bullied by an Australian Goth.’

During the bit he also reveals that his girlfriend has moved in with him. Shane jokes he’s worried he won’t be able to compete with her previous boyfriend in bed, and jokes, “Belly to belly is pretty good.”

However, the identity of Shan Gillis’ girlfriend is unknown, and he has been linked (somewhat tenuously) to several women throughout his career.

Some online sources have suggested Shane is dating a woman called Shih Ryan, although neither party has ever actually confirmed these rumors. One source claims they were friends since the age of 16 and suggested they were even rumored to be engaged and planning a 2020 wedding. 

This obviously never materialised as Shane is not married.

Several other somewhat suspects sources have claimed that Shane was previously in a relationship with a woman named ‘Clare’, although details about her remain sparse.

Other reports claim Shane Gillis allegedly dated a radio station manager called Tara Pavlovich, and even South African model Demi-Leigh Tebow. Demi is a beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2017 and Miss South Africa 2017. However, she has been married to former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow since 2020. Again, neither Shane nor Demi have ever spoken publicly about any alleged relationship.

Many of the rumors out there about Shane Gillis’ girlfriends and exes are sketchy at best, and should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. Shane obviously prefers to keep the identity of his girlfriend out of the spotlight.

Gillis recently released his second live comedy special, marking is debut on Netflix with Beautiful Dogs. 

It is a 53-minute set produced by All Things Comedy (the production company founded by Bill Burr and Al Madrigal) and is available to stream now.
