Shadow and Bone Season 2 Release Date

Part 2 of The Shadow and Bone will be released on March 16, 2023. The previous part left some questions unanswered and left viewers in suspense. However, the new season will answer those questions and fans are waiting patiently.

Shadow and Bone Cast

The cast remains the same from the first as each actor nailed their character perfectly.

• Jessie Mei Li plays Alina, the mapmaker and summoner of the Sun.
• Ben Barnes plays General Kirigan also known as “the Darkling”.
• Archie Renaux is Malyen Oretsev, nicknamed “Mal”, who is Alina’s best friend and all-around good person.
• Freddy Carter is Kaz Brekker and in the series his enemies know him by the nickname “Dirty Hands”.
• Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Kaz’s right-hand man. She is also known as the “ghost” because of her great spying abilities.
• Kit Young is Jesper Fahey, Kaz’s best friend and a lousy ADC.

• Julian Kostov as Fedyor, another loyal Heartrender of Darkling.
• Lewis Tan, Patrick Gibson, Anna Leong Brophy and Jack Wolfe are new additions to the cast and we’ll get to know their roles once season 2 comes out.

In Seige and Storm, while Alina and Mal are trying to live a normal life, Alina tries her best to hide her true identity and she is unable to use her powers to summon the Sun, which is very difficult for her. In the meantime, Darkling emerges from the Shadow Fold stronger than ever, and continues to hunt for Alina and Mal to control Alina’s powers. At the end of season 1, Darkling finally captures both of them and charms them while he sets out to find his second amplifier, a mythical sea snake. Whether Alina and Mal can save themselves and defeat Darkling or what the source of Alina’s power is is still a mystery at this point. Thus, the new season brings more answers and new characters to the plot.

The Shadow and Bone: season 2 will be released on Netflix and developed by Eric Husseirer. The series is based on the Fantasy, Drama and Mystery genres and is an escape from the real world. Joseph Trapanese mentions the music associated with the series.

David Lanzenberg, Owen McPolin and Aaron Morton participated in the filming together. The series’ producers are Christina Strain, Thane Watkins and Rand Geiger. The series is produced by production companies such as 21 Laps Entertainment, Chronology and Loom Studios.
