BIG Brother fans were in hysterics as Rylan Clark-Neal revealed he masturbated in the Big Brother house while Claire Richards from Steps stood guard outside the door.

He made the shocking confession while co-hosting Big Brother: Best Shows Ever with Davina McCall but didn't think it would go to air.

On tonight's episode the pair were discussing series six of the beloved reality show and rewatched the fan favourite box task.

Housemates were required to compete for luxury food and wines by remaining inside a cardboard box the longest.

But one contestant, Sam Heuston, decided to keep herself entertained by indulging in a bit of 'self-love'.

Her fellow housemates reacted with horror as they heard Sam's moans of pleasure coming from her box.

After reliving the infamous moment, Davina admitted she had completely forgotten it had happened.

She said: "If you're gonna do it and you have a microphone, can you please just be a bit more subtle? Less of the moanie, groanies."

But Rylan couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

He admitted: "Listen, when I was in there, I had to do it," as he recalled his time on Celebrity Big Brother.

"Did it in the bathroom, Claire from Steps sat outside. She was on watch!

"A boy's got to do what a boy's got to do. Good luck to you Sam and your cardboard box."

Even though Rylan had been very forthcoming with the revelation, he didn't think it would actually make it on the telly.

He later tweeted: "Jesus #bbuk I thought that wasn’t for broadcast 😂 p.s. cheers @_ClaireRichards"

Fans could not believe Rylan's confession and reacted with shock on Twitter.

One Twitter user wrote: "Knowing that has made that story even better! What a boss Claire is mind."

While another added: "Not everyone gets to Moany Groany with Claire from Steps outside the door."

And a third said: "The fact @Rylan has just confirmed that he masterbated in his series whilst Claire from steps was keeping watch outside the door I’m speechless. I literally have no words."

Ryan appeared on CBB's 11th series in 2011 and won that season despite his cheeky moments in the loo.

Big Brother has played a big part in Rylan's after he first auditioned for the show in 2008 and got in but was axed last minute because his casting was leaked to the press.

In 2015, he married Dan Neal a contestant on Big Brother 14.
