Royal Caribbean apologizes for cruise 'Premier Pass' error
Royal Caribbean has issued an apology statement on social media after advertising a cruise “Premier Pass” package that was not actually available on their website.
The package, which cost $88.99, was purchased by a number of customers who were then informed that the offer was simply due to a website error.
The cruise company has explained the mistake and has responded to concerned cruise-goers on social media, hoping to rectify the issue.
Royal Caribbean offers “Premier Pass”
Royal Caribbean Cruise mistakenly offered a cruise package on their website called the “Premier Pass”. The pass was priced at $88.99 and was described as the “newest and most innovative vacation package for 2 guests”.
It was advertised as including a welcome bottle of Veuve Clicquot, priority embarkation and debarkation, an Inside Access tour, an Officer’s lunch, unlimited internet access, a Captain’s toast and photo, wine pairing with a sommelier, and laundry service.
The website stated that the offer applied to bookings made between March 10 and 15 and applied to sailings between March 14 and December 21, 2023.
Hi there. I apologize for any confusion. The Premier Pass is not available. It was listed in error and inclusive to our sister brand Celebrity. A refund will be processed back to the original form of payment. Thank you for understanding -Kelsey

Cruise company offers refunds and apologies
However, Royal Caribbean announced on March 13 that the offer was actually an online error and shared a tweet that read:
“We apologize for any confusion. Recently, there was an error in our online package booking system, which allowed guests to purchase The Premier Pass. Unfortunately, this product is not available for Royal Caribbean International guests.”
They then explained on Twitter that a refund would be processed back to the payment type to those who had purchased the package.
Royal Caribbean error due to ‘system glitch’
Later on, Royal Caribbean said that the error happened due to a “system glitch” and assured guests that they will be “fully refunded as soon as possible”.
In addition to the refund, customers who purchased the package will also be provided with $50 USD onboard credit.
This can be used pre-cruise to book packages and experiences via My Royal Cruise or anywhere onboard.
