Royal Ball Run headquarters gets a face lift
A local charity has a new look thanks to the generosity of some local painters.
“The Royal Ball Run needed some help, needed some paint donated, so we decided we’d come and help them paint their new headquarters here in Milan,” said Bettendorf Sherwin Williams branch manager Hilary Junis.
Sherwin-Williams stores nationwide started national painting week four years ago. This year, they chose to donate paint and time to the Royal Ball Run for Autism in Milan. Workers from the paint store volunteered their time to paint the headquarters for the race, which is held to benefit local families with autistic children.
“I was like, whoa! That was awesome, and it just shows another reason how the community is getting behind our organization and embracing autism around The Quad City area,” said Royal Ball Run co-founder Pat Hartmann.
The upgraded space will allow the Royal Ball Run staff to host more programming than just the race. This year’s Royal Ball Run for Autism will be held on June 24.
