Career

Bopanna and Bhatt Ravikiran won the Indian ITF Junior Tournament 1 to kick off the year. They were the top seeds in the following competition, the Indian ITF Junior Tournament 2, but Saif Ali and Vijay Kannan eliminated them in the opening round.

After losing the opening set to Vijay Kannan in the singles quarterfinals, he withdrew. At the Namangan International Junior Tournament, he was the top seed in doubles with Denis Surotin and easily won their first round in straight sets but fell in the quarterfinals to Sergei Pozdnev.

At the ITF Frankfurt Championships, he and Bhatt Ravikiran once more advanced to the semifinals before losing in straight sets. His third consecutive doubles semi-final participation was this one. In the last qualifying round of the LTA International Junior Championships, he was defeated by David Sanger in straight sets.

Nevertheless, he was given entry into the main draw as a lucky loser, but his luck ran out in the first round as he was defeated in straight sets by Ignacio Gonzalez-King.

Rohan Bopanna was named a Champion for Peace in 2010 by the Monaco-based organisation Peace and Sport in recognition of his efforts to break down political boundaries via sports.
