Theory about Rihanna being a devil worshiper surfaced online

The baseless rumors took over the internet after a few fans noticed the singer wearing red attire. Some were quick to connect the color to the devil.

Meanwhile, there were others who thought Rihanna’s belt depicted the star of the pentagram, which is often connected to Satan.

This theory first became popular on the platform when American personality Stew Peters posted a picture of Rihanna from the show and wrote: “How will the masses know we’re worshiping satan? Easy. We’re going to put a pentagram on your devil suit.”

It did not take long for others to express their thoughts on the same as one user wrote: “That’s exactly what I’ve been talking about! I seen it last night and told my husband! Just like the damn Grammy’s!”

Another said: “Looks like the star of David. I pentagram has five points, that has six.”

Fans defend the singer

While there were a few who seemed to agree with this bizarre theory, there were many who came to defend the singer. People were quick to point out that Rihanna was not wearing a pentagram belt and it was the safety harness.

The singer had a floating stage and had to wear a harness to ensure safety.

Slamming the absurd theory, one user wrote: “If this isn’t parody, we are living in the darkest timeline.”

“Thank you for this laugh, I needed one today,” wrote one more. “I learned shapes in kindergarten, and that isn’t a pentagram,” read another comment.

“I think you are wrong. She rubbed her belly at that point and sang I’m Alive so I was thinking more ProLife,” another expressed.

A look at her outfit choice

Rihanna had a special meaning behind her outfit and it was to pay tribute to the late Vogue legend André Leon Talley, who died in January 2022.

The red puffer jacket that she wore resembled Talley’s leather Alaïa puffer, which was also his signature look.

In fact, Talley’s official Instagram also acknowledged this by posting photos of him in similar designs.
