Ricky Dean Smith passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving behind family and friends to mourn his passing. Glenn Horace Smith, his father, passed away before him. He was the only child. He is survived by his mother, Genolyne Dean Smith, who resides in Panama City, Florida; his wife, Glenda Askew Smith, who resides in Dawson; his son, Todd Smith, who resides in Dothan; his siblings, Carol Hicks (Bobby) of Chiefland, Florida and Terry Smith (Dianne) of Pensacola; his grandson, Dylan Smith, who resides in Leesburg; and his pet, Captain Jack.

Sardis Baptist Church, located at 846 Summitt Drive Northeast in Dawson, Georgia 39842, will be the location of the visitation that will take place on Friday, January 5th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. It has been decided that a funeral service will take place at the same venue on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
