The First Superstar of India cinema, Rajesh Khanna, was born on 29 December 1942. After doing a lot of stage plays and theatre, Rajesh Khanna aspired to be an actor. Rajesh Khanna made his debut in Hindi cinema with Aakhri Khat (1966). In 1973, Rajesh Khanna married actor Dimple Kapadia and they have two children, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. The couple separated in 1984 but shared an amicable relationship since they did not complete their divorce proceedings. After being critically ill, Rajesh Khanna died on 18 July 2012. Thereafter, Khanna was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan. In 2013, Khanna was conferred The First Superstar of Indian Cinema at Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards. Throughout his career, Rajesh Khanna appeared in more than 160 feature films and he played the lead in 74 films.
