Race Thompson suffered a serious-looking injury on 5 January 2022’s evening. He left the game at Iowa in the first half at 4:27 with an apparently serious knee injury.

His right foot got planted on the ground when an Iowa athlete dove into his leg. He falls down to the floor. He was helped to the locker room.

This incident happened right in front of the Indiana bench. Indiana Hoosiers released a statement,

“Senior Race Thompson, who suffered a leg injury in the first half tonight against Iowa, will not return tonight.”

Indian University’s Coach Mike Woodson said that he didn’t know the extent of Race’s injury. He added,

“We’ll go back and get an MRI and see where it is.”
