Nicholas Edward Cave AO was born on 22 September 1957 (64 years old) in the small agricultural town of Warracknabeal in the Australian state of Victoria to Dawn Cave and Colin Frank Cave. His father was a math and English teacher at the local technical school, and his mother worked as a librarian at Nick’s high school.
