Nicholas Lane biography

Nicholas B. Lane serves as Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Retirement, Wealth Management & Protection Solutions of the Company. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s retirement and protection business, including Individual Retirement, Group Retirement and Protection Solutions, as well as distribution. Mr. Lane also serves as President of Equitable Life. Prior to his most recent role as Chief Executive Officer of AXA Life Japan, which commenced in 2016, Mr. Lane served in multiple roles with the Company, including Senior Executive Director and Head of U.S. Life and Retirement for Equitable Life from 2013 to 2016. Before joining Equitable Life in 2005, Mr. Lane was a leader in the sales and marketing practice of the strategic consulting firm McKinsey & Co. and served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Lane also currently serves on the Board of Directors of AllianceBernstein Corporation.
