Motorcycle Accident Alton, IL: One dead, another injured in fiery motorcycle-car collision in Alton.

In Alton on Monday night, a two-vehicle traffic collision claimed the life of one person.

The collision happened close to McDonald’s and Popeye’s at the intersection of Homer Adams Parkway and Humbert Street/Morning Star Drive. Another person was brought to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Nobody has yet publicly disclosed the names of individuals involved.

Around 7 o’clock on Monday, Alton Police and Fire rushed to the scene of a motorbike accident involving a compact SUV and its passenger door. The motorcycle’s rider was trapped behind the wreckage when it caught fire, and he or she passed away there and then. An SUV passenger who had been hurt was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigation is ongoing.
