WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Despite the snow and cold temperatures, thousands gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life rally Friday, including Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh.

“It’s a great day, this is football weather,” Harbaugh said as the crowd cheered. His appearance comes less than two weeks after the Michigan Wolverines won the College Football National Championship.

It was the first time Harbaugh has attended the March for Life rally in D.C., according to organizers.

“It’s a great example that you’re setting. It’s testimony for the sanctity of life,” Harbaugh said.

Former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson, who won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, was also in attendance.

“Roe is done, but we still live in a culture that knows not how to care for life,” Watson said.

Friday’s March for Life event is only the second since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
