Bringing life to various fun Nickelodeon characters, Michelle Trachtenberg played a huge role in the lives of kids during the early 2000s. From Harriet The Spy to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Michelle has been a part of various popular TV shows and films from the nostalgic era. 

Born in NYC, Trachtenberg first started in the TV industry by starring in advertisements for Wisk detergent and other similar companies. Her charm and cheerful attitude led Michelle to be selected for over 100 different ads and offers to work in television shows. 

Although Michelle’s role as Nona in The Adventures of Pete & Pete wasn’t her first project, it was the first time she was credited and made to play a significant character. Michelle was recruited to play Lily in All My Children, helping her gain fame among all the other child actors.

Once old enough to be in teenage and young adult-themed shows, Michelle Trachtenberg was able to portray roles like Dawn Sumers and Georgina Sparks from Gossip Girl.

While Michelle’s career is much more slow-paced for now, the actress ended up gathering a lot of attention on her socials after fans noticed she looked “sick” or tired. Trachtenberg responded by claiming that she wasn’t 17 anymore and wanted to age gracefully without using any plastic surgeries.

Michelle has been in Hollywood and the television industry ever since the early 90s. Despite being just 3 years old, Trachtenberg was selected to be in all kinds of fun advertisements and TV shows. Now in her late 30s, Michelle has chosen to move forward in her career at a much slower pace while enjoying life and working on a few projects every year. 

After being a part of Gossip Girl and other shows from the 2010s, Trachtenberg gained weight and appeared to look completely different from the image she had created for herself on the red carpet. While Michelle no longer looked the same, she continued to play interesting roles in shows like Criminal Minds and NCIS. 

Trachtenberg is active on Instagram and often posts pictures with her co-stars or friends. Fans love seeing Michelle update them about her life, but the Meego actress gained more attention than usual after she looked “sick and unhealthy” in her latest posts according to her fans. 

Michelle’s followers were concerned for her well-being, as the yellow eyes, pale skin, and thinning hair are usually a clear sign that something’s not right in the body. Michelle reacted by claiming she wasn’t a young teenager anymore and was hoping to age gracefully instead of going for Botox and other treatments like the other actresses her age. 

Some comments seemed to be genuinely concerned for the actress’s health. Trachtenberg’s blunt responses attracted rude fans who claimed that she was famous because of them, and others were only trying to get her to go to a doctor before anything happened. 

People also supported Trachtenberg for her responses, stating that what’s going on with her health is part of her personal life and there are things people don’t want to share with the whole world. 

While Michelle may not have the young charm she did while portraying roles like Georgina in Gossip Girl, the actress now has tons of experience that helps her portray tougher characters & hosts in shows like Sister Cities, Meet, Marry, Murder, and many others. 

Michelle Trachtenberg: A Promising Nickelodeon Star

After her short role in Law & Order, Michelle began to audition for popular shows that eventually propelled her into fame. Most of Trachtenberg’s early 2000s were spent on productions like Can’t Be Heaven, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Truth or Scare, a Discovery Kids show. 

Michelle has been a part of films too, like EuroTrip and Mysterious Skin. Her “popular girl” charm led her to be cast for many TV series throughout her teenage years. Black Christmas and House are other hit productions that Trachtenberg got a role in. The actress was also selected to be in one of Fall Out Boy’s MVs, further helping her gain recognition within the industry. 

It was Michelle’s role as Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl that ended up being one of the most memorable roles in her whole television career. The sassy yet intriguing character appeared in almost all seasons of Gossip Girl, giving enough exposure for Trachtenberg. 

However, Michelle’s career took a downfall after the 2010s, and the actress now mostly stars in TV series once in a while. To have become such an icon at a young age isn’t an easy task and Trachtenberg managed to play it off successfully. We might hopefully see Michelle come back to the TV world soon, with new, interesting roles.
