Beasley averaged 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 29.8 minutes per game over 34 games as a freshman at Florida State in 2015–16.

Twin Cities Timberwolves (2020–2022)

Beasley was part of a 12-player, four-team transaction that sent Beasley to the Minnesota Timberwolves on February 5, 2020.

Beasley was given the starting position after being traded to Minnesota, and his scoring output significantly increased. He started every game in his 14 games with the Timberwolves, scoring 20.7 points, pulling down 5.1 rebounds, and dishing out 1.9 assists per game.

Beasley re-signed with the Timberwolves on November 27, 2020, reportedly to a four-year, $60 million deal.

Due to a guilty plea in a criminal case, Beasley was sentenced to a 12-game suspension on February 25, 2021. He was averaging a career-high 20.5 points per game at the time of the ban and shooting 40% from beyond the arc. The Timberwolves had a league-worst record of 7–26.

On March 5, 2022, Beasley surpassed Kevin Love’s 190 three-pointers made in a season to break the Timberwolves franchise record.

He scored 33 points and nailed a franchise-high 11 three-pointers four days later in a 132-102 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Beasley scored 23 points in Game 1 of the first round of the 2022 playoffs on April 16, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 130-117.

Beasley was moved to the Utah Jazz on July 6, 2022, along with Rudy Gobert, Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro, the draft rights to Walker Kessler, four additional first-round picks, and a pick swap.
