Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati delivered her state of the city address, outlining three priorities for Moline.

Rayapati said the city can focus on streets, rental properties and keeping the City of Moline staffed properly while maintaining the lowest tax levy rate in more than 30 years. Rayapati said new revenue-sharing with the Vibrant Arena at The MARK, along with enforcing a franchise fee with natural gas and electric providers will take some financial burden off of property owners.

Mayor Rayapati pointed out Moline made a major commitment to underfunded street maintenance and repairs. Almost 10 miles of city streets got resurfaced last year.
