A video dubbed ‘Jamaica Raft Plastic Bag’ or the ‘Martha Brae Special’ has gone viral again in 2023. It follows a recent trend of videos that sees women getting lathered up on a raft in Jamaica.

If you’ve been on social media recently there’s a good chance you’ll have stumbled across a fair amount of memes and general buzz around a series of Jamaica raft videos. The videos have been doing the rounds on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, with users rather taken aback by what they’ve seen.

Jamaica raft TikTok videos have been causing a stir online

A spate of videos pertaining to Jamaica rafts has been popping up on TikTok recently. One in particular, which was captioned with the words, ‘This is what happened to his girlfriend on a raft in Jamaica’ drew special attention and comments.

The video shows a woman lying down on a raft as a man, presumed to be in charge of the rafting experience, proceeds to lather her up with what appears to be suncream.

However, the man in question appears to be overstepping the boundaries and getting a little too close for comfort. The alleged boyfriend, who had been in the bathroom, interrupts by saying: “That’s my job brother.”

Both the woman and the raft ‘expert’ protest their innocence and argue that it’s simply all a part of the raft experience and “comes with the whole thing”.

“That’s what everybody does when they come to Jamaica”, the woman protests. The protestations continue until the boyfriend says to “wrap it up” and cancel the “package”.

The comments of the video were filled with people weighing in on the situation and who was in the wrong.

‘You did da right thing, its really on her’, one person replied.

‘U need a new lady,’ another added.

However, someone else disagreed, labeling the boyfriend ‘insecure’.

This latest TikTok appears to be the latest in a series of Jamaica raft videos that have been cropping up online. There appears to be a trend of men massaging cream into women, who seem as though they’re enjoying the experience, as they prepare to go out rafting.

‘Casually river rafting & i see birthday girl having the time of her life,’ one video was captioned.

Some have said that it is inappropriate. Others have remarked that as long as the women have agreed to it and are enjoying it, there’s no problem.

However, one video did overstep the mark, traumatizing people online as it showed two people engaging in adult activities on a raft.

The video in question, originally posted in 2022, has been dubbed ‘The Jamaica Raft Plastic Bag video’ or ‘The Martha Brae Special’, named after the river in Jamaica.

After recently going viral again, many took to social media to share their shock and horror, spawning a wave of memes and reactions.

According to The Jamaican Observer, one company, River Raft Limited, has disassociated itself from the viral video. They said:

“Rafting on the Martha Brae prides itself on providing nothing but excellent service to the many clients we host daily. Our complement of our 90 licensed raft captains are highly professional and take immense pride in their work.”
