The Braves announced on Wednesday that right-handed pitcher Kirby Yates has been taken off the 60-day injured list and that they have signed top infield prospect Vaughn Grissom from Double-A Mississippi.

Marquis Grissom has been a baseball legend since the early 1990s. Vaughn Grissom, on the other hand, is taking the baseball world by storm right now.

Vaughn, a 21-year-old rookie who was picked in the 11th round of the 2019 draft, has moved quickly through the minor leagues. In his first 98 Double-A plate appearances, he had a slash line of.363/.408/.516. He was put into the MEAC Hall of Fame in 2014.

With Mississippi, Grissom has played 24 games and hit.364 with three home runs. This gives him an OPS of.924. He also hit.312 and hit 11 home runs in 74 games for Rome. The 21-year-old shortstop can really hit, and if the Braves want to keep going in this direction, he should be a good defender at second base.
