Veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini passed away on 25 January 2024 after battling with cancer. She was in Sri Lanka where was receiving the treatment. She was a National award-winning singer who passed away at the age of 47. On 25 January 2024, Kamal Haasan tweeted about his brother Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter.

Ilaiyaraaja Daughter Husband, Who is R. Sabariraj?

Veteran composer Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini was married to R. Sabariraj who is an advertising executive. They got married in 2002. Her husband is the son of S.N. Ramachandran who is a former journalist.

Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter’s husband’s father went into publishing and started Kannan Advertising.

Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini and her husband had two children a son and a daughter.

Bhavatharini was the daughter of music composer Ilaiyaraaja. She made her singing debut in 1995 with the song “Masthana Masthana” which is the song of the Raasaiyya movie. She sang for many Tamil movies.

Her several songs that are so popular such as “Oru Deivam Thandha Poove” from Kannathil Muthamittal, “Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu” from Bharathi, “Unnai Kandane” from Parijatham, and “Enna Solla Pogirai” from Kandukondain Kandukondain.

Ilaiyaraaja was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2023. She underwent treatment in Chennai and later she tried Ayurveda treatment in Sri Lanka.

However, her health was not improved and she passed away at the hospital on 25 January 2024 in Sri Lanka. For her funeral rituals, her body was brought back to Chennai where the last rites were conducted.
