Holiday In The Vineyards Filming Locations: Shooting Locations For The New Netflix Movie
Co-starring as a wealthy, ne’er-do-well Carter on a covert mission to buy a small California vineyard for his family’s wine empire is Josh Swickard from ABC’s General Hospital. Sol Rodriguez (Star Trek: Picard on Paramount+) enters the scene as Valentina, a real estate agent defending the vineyard against large corporations. Carter pretends to be a carpenter when they first meet.

The main shooting location for this movie was Santa Clarita; hence, the IMDB states that Holiday in the Vineyards was filmed there. Six Flags Magic Mountain is a roller coaster theme park located in Santa Clarita, California, a city north of Los Angeles. Apart from this movie, Santa Clarita was also used to film Christmas Frequency, Outlaw Johnny Black, and Purple Hearts.
Filming was mostly done in and around Greater Los Angeles. The movie is set in the fictional Los Santos, California, and centers on wine culture.

Plot Of The Movie
Josh Swickard’s character, Carter Baldwyn, is the affluent misfit son of Margo Baldwyn (Eileen Davidson), the head of a massive wine company that is essentially just swill. He consents to visit Huckabee Vineyard, a little vineyard in the made-up wine country town of Los Santos, California, which his mother wants to buy for their business, though, in an attempt to show her that he’s not a total waste of time.
The caveat is that Carter needs to remain hidden while he inspects the vineyard to prevent anyone from learning that Baldwyn is making the purchase. Due to the poor quality and low price of their wine, nobody likes the Baldwyns or their brand.
Carter needs to give up all the small comforts he has grown accustomed to and act as though he is just a stranger paying a visit for some cause other than “I’ve come to acquire your winery and strip it for parts.”
Valentina Espinoza (Sol Rodriguez), the real estate agent who is selling Huckabee, is a widow and the mother of two cute sons named Fed and Santi. Carter plays the part of a random guy hoping to move to Los Santos when he meets her during a walk-through of the vineyard.
He tells Valentina he’s a carpenter in an attempt to keep his cover intact. She offers them a deal: if he can fix her guest house, which needs some work, she’ll let him stay there and tour the town. Carter accepts, even though he isn’t genuinely a carpenter or considering relocating to Los Santos; nonetheless, at this time, he is well hidden and must maintain the pretense.
In addition, he finds out that Val is attempting to persuade a group of other wineries to combine their funds and purchase the charming little vineyard so that it may be a part of the community rather than selling it to the massive mega-corporation that he and his mother managed.
Carter meets Moe (Omar Gooding), the proprietor of the hardware store and an amateur winemaker known as a garagiste when he goes there to get the materials he needs to assist in remodeling Val’s guest house. As soon as Moe realizes that Carter is not a carpenter, they decide to support one another: Moe will assist Carter with his building work, while Carter will give Moe advice on winemaking.
