Graham on health care: Should work like ‘going to a public library’

Written by John Shaw — 0 Views

Some of the stark images we’ve seen during the pandemic are those of hospitals loaded with patients being treated for the coronavirus.

This during an election year when health care is the most important issue to voters.

It figures prominently in Iowa’s race for U.S. Senate.

This is the third part of my conversation with Kimberly Graham.
Graham is committed to Medicare for All.

That’s proven to be a tough sell to most of the country.

Graham explained why she and the people who agree with her think this pandemic supports her case and if there is room for private insurance to still exist under her scenario.

Higher reimbursement rates for doctors are crucial to keep them in the field, especially in rural areas.

Graham discussed how much higher they have to be than what they get from Medicare now.
