A new recreational marijuana store is now open in Galena.

Called Verilife, the business sells medical and recreational marijuana there and at stores in other states.

The downtown Galena location — the city’s first marijuana dispensary — opened Saturday.

City officials celebrated the grand opening along with Verilife’s president.

This is Verilife’s sixth location in Illinois.
