Seppuku is an Ash of War in Elden Ring. Players will perform “Seppuku” by stabbing themselves in the stomach, which in turn adds Blood Affinity to their Melee Armament. Players can find the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring at the snow area of the map called Mountaintops of The Giants. It will be located on the frozen lake, and it will be an invisible Teardrop Scarab.

The closest Site of Grace is Freezing Lake, the invisible Teardrop Scarab will be located east of the Site of Grace. When players do arrive near the invisible Teardrop Scarab, they will see a white footprint trail following a set path. The footprints are the invisible Teardrop Scarab. In order to kill it, players will have to time their swing or attack to hit ahead of the Teardrop Scarab.

Standing at one of the areas where the Teardrop Scarab makes a turn will give players a larger window for an attack as they will have to turn to get away. Another tip is to not chase it, as the Teardrop Scarab in Elden Ring will be moving at an extremely fast pace. Using Torrent, the player’s horse is an option but can take longer to kill it. Finally be patient, waiting on it will always grant the player more opportunities to hit the Teardrop Scrab as it is on a set path.

How to Find the Invisible Teardrop Scarab in Elden Ring

After killing the invisible Teardrop Scarab in Elden Ring, players will be rewarded with the Seppuku Ash of War. Players can use the Seppuku Ash of War on a multitude of Melee Armaments Classes, some of the best Melee Armaments to use it on are ones that strike multiple times, such as Twin Blades.

When players use the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring, it will do a character animation and automatically add Blood to the Melee Armament. It will also increase attack power and improve blood loss buildup. Seppuku lasts for 60 seconds after the animation plays. It also scales with Arcane and Occult. Adding it to any weapon that has Arcane scaling will significantly increase damage and blood loss buildup. The downsides to Seppuku are its long animation and Health sacrifice. Seppuku will take 10% of the player’s Health upon use and with its long animation, it will be primarily used for preparation before a fight.
