Meteorologists with the National Weather Service were out surveying storm damage all day long and have counted 5 tornadoes in our area.  

One tornado struck just South of Riverside, IA and was rated an EF-1.  

This twister had winds of 11 mph and was on the ground for about 6 minutes starting at 6:36 p.m.  

It was 40 yards wide and on the ground for almost 6 miles.  

Farm outbuildings, power lines and trees were damaged.  

The tornado lifted south of the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.
