Sadly, we must inform you that Doris Blackwell Compton, a resident of Marietta, South Carolina, who was born in Greenville, South Carolina, died away on January 1, 2024 at the age of 74. Our hearts are heavy as we share this news with you.

She is survived by : her children, JoAnn Galloway (Zachary), Linda Compton (Mike) and Ronald Compton; her siblings, Brenda Young and Harold Blackwell (Darlene); her grandchildren, James Compton, Justin Hill, Chantz Galloway, Kacie Galloway, Jonathan Waldner, Kayla Waldner, Christopher Waldner, Ashley Waldner and A. J. Serrano; and her great grandchildren, Savannah Compton, Lindy Compton, Caroline Summer, Emma Bell Hill, Jackson Hill, Noah Waldner, Gabriel Waldner, Lydia Waldner, Ivy Waldner, Charles Darnell, Destiny Sky Serrano, Augustine Serrano, Jr., Jarred Serrano, Cole Serrano, Jaden Waldner, Keria Waldner and Braylen Waldner. In addition, she is survived by a large number of devoted nieces and nephews.

The Howze Mortuary, located at 6714 State Park Rd, Travelers Rest, South Carolina 29690, will be the location of the visitation that will take place on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Howze Mortuary Chapel, located at 6714 State Park Rd, Travelers Rest, South Carolina 29690, will be the location of the funeral service that will take place on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Mountain View Memorial Park will be the location of the burial service that will take place on Friday, January 5th, 2024.
