Many fans have been concerned this week after a false report claimed Jey Uso had been discovered dead. The wrestler is alive and well – but how did the death hoax start?

Uso is the latest celebrity to be hit by a cruel death hoax, which left many fans on social media concerned.

Jey Uso is not dead

First things first Uso, real name Joshua Samuel Fatu, has not been found dead. The WWE star is alive and doing well in January 2023.

The professional wrestler, who competes alongside twin brother Jimmy Uso, has been very active on Instagram recently – his last Instagram Story is from a couple of hours ago.

The death hoax involving Uso seems to originate from a live video from YouTube channel WWE Raw, which featured Canadian wrestler Sami Zayn.

In the video, Sami discussed the highlights of the week in the wrestling world but the actual clip had a title that read: “Jey Uso found dead this morning (video).”

The video also included the line ‘breaking news,’ which is why many people initially thought something bad had happened to the wrestling star.

Fans slam false reports

WWE fans have criticized the false reports as many of them were left concerned after coming across the YouTube video.

One fan asked: “Why is there a WWE live on YouTube saying Jey Uso was found dead?”

In response, another said: “Bro, I literally just opened YouTube and first thing to see was this. I literally got confused.”

Another worried fan tweeted: “Heard some rumours about Jey Uso died in a car accident, hope it is fake news.”

A fourth said: “Jey Uso is not dead. It’s a fake report.”
