Davenport has a new state-of-the-art fire station in operation.

City leaders cut the ribbon on Fire Station No. 3, home to a gym, eight bedrooms, laundry room, full kitchen, dining area and living room. Fire Chief Mike Carlston says the new facility is more than a fire station; it’s a home away from home for firefighters. As Our Quad Cities News reporter Victoria Frazier explains, the new station will help with response call times and act as a tool to bring the community together.
