Some Xmas movies become instant holiday classics and Christmas With The Kranks was fortunate enough to become a staple almost immediately on arrival.
Starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, the 2004 festive comedy movie tells the hilarious tale of a couple who decide to skip Christmas for a year and go on vacation. Complete with great supporting performances from Dan Aykroyd, Erik Per Sullivan, and more, it’s become an annual must-see for plenty of families. However, fans shouldn’t expect a sequel to hit screens this December
Netflix’s Christmas With The Kranks 2 debunked
A fake, fan-made poster for an alleged Christmas With The Kranks 2 movie has been making the rounds on Facebook, shared by multiple pages.
The poster, shared by YODA BBY ABY on Facebook, has amassed a whopping 14.3k reacts, 2.9k comments, and 13k shares.
“Get ready for a tropical twist in ‘Christmas With The Kranks 2,” the post alleges. “This time, the Kranks trade snow for sand as they embark on a Hawaiian adventure filled with wild hikes and unexpected escapades. Join the fun in the sun as the Kranks redefine holiday traditions in this hilarious sequel!”
“Can’t wait!” one fan commented, with lots of others echoing the same enthusiasm.
“Nothing has ever been more spot on than the fact this would be ‘A Netflix Original’ lmao,” another commented, to which YODA BBY ABY replied “Then I NAILED IT. Lol.”
The poster shows Jamie and Tim superimposed over a festively decorated living room, with text displaying it’s ‘A Netflix original’ that’s coming on Monday, December 11th 2023. However, the poster is fan-made and no sequel to Christmas With The Kranks has been officially announced as being in production.
Nevertheless, the convincing poster has certainly left some fans of the original fooled and excited. A Facebook page called Upcoming Movies recently shared the poster and currently has 5.6k reactions and 3.5k shares. “Is this for real?” a fan asked. “Hope so, loved the first one.”
