Cashmonger of Mangem follows the female protagonist Ruda Earl Grey. But she is not Ruda. She is from a whole other world and is unexpectedly brought to this world. To make sure she survives in this place, she has to somehow prevent the final boss from unleashing all his powers, and for that, she heads to the Imperial Academy of Magic.

In the previous chapter 3 of Cashmonger of Mangem, Lucid continues to work on his magic skills and neglects to eat; though there are people concerned for him, like the servant Hans, and the Duke, he does not pay any heed to their concerns and is stubborn enough to survive only on nutritional pills.

Meanwhile, Ruda does everything in her power to get Lucid to eat, but it turns out he has betrayed her. All the effort she had made in preparing a meal was given off to a dog. Ruda, on finding out about this, unleashes all her anger on Lucid, but Lucid just tells her to keep quiet.

Cashmonger of Mangem Chapter 3, Recap

The previous chapter is Chapter 3 of Cashmonger of Mangem; the chapter begins with us readers getting a glimpse of the Onyx Hall VIP dormitory where the young master is staying. As he has his pills, he is interrupted by his servant Hans. 

Hans asks him why he has not been eating, and the Duke is worried about such eating habits of his. He dismisses Hans and tells him not to disturb him anymore. He gets back as he has to practice magic all night, and Hans wonders how someone can survive like that with just some pills and no food.

As he practices his magic to master it, he begins growing suspicious of Ruda, who has been following him around for a while. The next day at the school, Ruda drags Lucid with her as she wants him to eat properly, Lucid tries to shrug her hand off, but her grip is strong, and she does not even budge.

Ruda then presents him with the lunchbox she made for him and runs away. As he is about to take a bite, a dog interrupts him. Ruda is sure that he will enjoy the lunch she has made for him with her exceptional cooking skills.

Ruda is then interrupted by the same dog that had interrupted Lucid when he was eating. Afterward, Ruda heads to the class, where it is revealed that Lucid didn’t have any of the food that day, and he gave it all to a dog. The students in the class are angry at the commotion she is making, and the chapter ends there.
