25-year-old Carter Herne of Bozeman, Montana, died as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Friday, August 25.

Carter decided on August 19 to sign up as an organ donor online. Then on Friday, August 25, he was in an accident and all of his organs other than his brain were in shape to donate.

Carter will be remembered as a selfless and amazing young man who continues to give life even in death. He will be sorely missed.
