The $2.5 million Brady Street stadium is one step closer to completion.

It may look like a pile of dirt right now but demolition has been completed now that workers officially removed the old field.
The project consists of replacing the field with turf and expanding the track from six lanes to eight.    
The new field will allow Davenport Community Schools to now host regional meets.

“It’s always exciting to see all of the capital projects we have across the district,” Maloney said.

“We’re making improvements in all of our schools as well as here at the stadium, giving the stadium a face lift to modernize its appearance from Brady Street I think is going to be something that people are really going to appreciate,” said Maloney.

The stadium is on track to be complete by the middle of August just in time for football season.
