Moonbin, a member of the K-pop boy band Astro, has passed away at the age of 25. Local media, citing the police, reported that Moonbin had been discovered unresponsive in his Gangnam neighborhood condominium on Wednesday evening.

“Astro member Moon Bin unexpectedly left our planet on April 19 and became a star in the sky,” his record label Fantagio wrote on Twitter in Korean early Thursday. There was no indication of a possible cause of death.

So that his family could pay their respects and honor him in tranquility, the statement asked that everyone “refrain from speculative and malicious reports. “Moon Bin, who performed under the stage name Moonbin, was a member of the group Astro as well as a member of Moonbin & Sanha.

He joined the Fantagio label’s trainee program at a young age and was an actor and model prior to his February 2016 début with Astro. The group originally consisted of six performers, but in February 2023, one of them departed. Moon Sua, the sister of Moonbin, is also a K-pop singer and a member of the female group Billie.

Astro member Moonbin passes away at the age of 25.

“So saddened by the passing of one of the most beautiful spirits I’ve encountered through music! Best wishes to his family, friends, employers, and admirers! “Fantagio received one response to his Twitter post. In recent years, several other youthful K-pop stars have died, including Goo Hara in November 2019.
