Richard Gere and his third wife, Alejandra Silva, 38, have just moved to Northshire, a 35-acre mansion in North Salem, New York, with their two sons. According to the Daily Mail, Gere paid $9.98 million for the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom red-brick home an hour’s drive north of Manhattan last year. The couple’s new home features 9,000 square feet of living space as well as a large chef’s kitchen. Gere allegedly paid $700,000 for a “nearby vacant lot” to expand the property to 35 acres. Northshire, an original house rebuilt in 1934, also features indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and a wine cellar. Gere registered real estate to a trust company in Los Angeles that he had previously used to sell and buy properties to conceal the purchase of a new home.

Gere is allegedly asking $28 million for the luxury 50-acre home in Pound Ridge, where he has resided for nearly 20 years. David Letterman and Jenn Gates are now neighbors of Gere and his wife (Bill Gates’ daughter). Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva are two of the most famous Hollywood couples with a sizable age difference. Silva, Gere’s 33-year-old junior, is an activist and philanthropist. Silva was born in Spain in February 1983. Ignacio Silva, her father, is a Spanish businessman and former vice president of Real Madrid Football Club.

Silva has partnered with nonprofits such as the Beautiful Life Foundation and Rais Foundation for the Homeless. She has also participated in the Real Madrid Football Club Foundation’s Africa Initiative Project. Silva was previously married to Govind Friedland from 2012 to 2015. Her first marriage produced a son named Albert, born in 2013.

Gere met his future bride when she was young because he was a friend of the Silvas family. However, the couple was re-introduced in 2014 by a mutual friend at a hotel that Silva manages in Positano, Italy. According to many stories, after their adult reunion, Gere sent Silva flowers until she accepted to date, and he still writes songs for her to this day. Silva converted to Buddhism after getting married in 2018, following in her husband’s footsteps. Alexander, their first child, was born in February 2019. Silva gave birth to a second child with Gere in April 2020. The child’s name has yet to be released.
