A Freeze Warning for parts of the Southshore on Monday morning
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Freeze Warnings are back. Tonight is the night to protect people, plants, and pets. But there’s a big warm-up to come soon.
A Freeze Warning has been issued for parts of the Southshore. Temperatures will likely fall to around 32 degrees briefly; leading to a light freeze. The Northshore will also see temperatures fall to around 30 but they’re not included in the Freeze Warning. The National Weather Service issued the warning in areas where there is already new growth.
Highs will rebound quickly by Monday as we’re back in the lower 60s under bright sun.
The warmth continues for the rest of the week. Highs will warm back to the middle 70s by Wednesday.
Our next cold front looks to arrive by the end of the week. It’s looking to be a mainly dry front and should knock our temperatures back from the 70s on Friday to the 60s on Saturday.
